Most of our felt that we create from is imported from Nepal. It is 100 % wool felt and fair trade felt. Some of our products are made in Nepal although most are handmade or part handmade here in Australia. 

Felt is a fabric made of compressed matted animal fibers. The raw materials (lamb wool) are imported from New Zealand.

Firstly the wool is carded then dyed in various colors. Upon completion of the coloring process the Nepalese, mostly women start compressing the raw material with the help of soap & hot water by hand. No chemicals or machines are used to make the product; hence the felt products are 100% hand made. By rubbing and washing the wool with hot water the fibres fuse together. 

All of our felt products are the fair trade items.
